No sign of a burn

While I was cooking, I inadvertently picked up a hot knife lying on the stove which burned 2 fingers. Having recently taken the Access class, I knew about the cortices which I immediately applied several times over the next 2 hours. As a result, there was no swelling, no scabbing, only a bit of throbbing for an hour. The following day, there was no sign of a burn.
