Tricia’s journey into Chinese Medicine began when her own health required an alternative approach. With respiratory issues present since birth and allergies to several antibiotics, she turned to acupuncture and experienced remarkable results. Influenced by renowned authors and teachers of Energy Medicine, she became a Reiki Level II Practitioner.

Motivated by her clients’ successes, Tricia pursued advanced training and became an Advanced BodyTalk Practitioner and a member of the International BodyTalk Association under its founder, John Veltheim. She continues her education today through the MindbodyScience Brain Network with her instructor and mentor, Dr. Laura Stuve, PhD.

With three decades of experience and training in multiple energy modalities, Tricia offers a holistic healing approach that addresses the whole person: physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual frequencies.

Tricia’s early life was spent in a three-generational family dynamic, living with her grandparents and caring for them until their passing. Her namesake, lifelong mentor, and godmother, Patricia Jean Traviss, operated the first dignity-centered women’s sanitarium. Tricia’s regular childhood visits to this facility laid the foundation for her lasting dedication to the aging population.

In 1976, she attended the local Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program, where she developed compassionate care skills for elders in hospitals, nursing facilities, and private settings. After earning her license in Marriage and Family Therapy, she led Adult Education courses and produced local TV programs addressing aging issues.

As a County Triage Worker for two decades, Tricia interfaced with state, county, and government agencies to support multi-county residents facing crises such as severe health issues, aging, grief, mental health challenges, and substance abuse. She encouraged healthy communication with family, friends, and healthcare providers while empowering individuals to navigate local resources.

Tricia organized and hosted weekly Health Talks for seniors and participated in the local Farmer’s Market to educate and empower aging adults. She authored and led a Women’s Self-Caregiving Manual and conducted weekly seminars as well as weekend seminar cruises.
